Welcome to the Kessaboo Shop!
My name is Kess, and I am the artist and creator of Kessaboo Art! I am born & raised in New England- currently based out of Rhode Island. I am an Art teacher by day & artist- always! The Visual Arts ,and spreading education of the Arts, is my passion and lifelong mission. The artwork in this shop is an array of 2D media, including drawing, painting, mixed media- and my favorite- charcoal & chalk pastels. I am creatively fueled by travel, nature, exploring, music, animals, & the human experience. I lived 3 years in Hawaii, and it has inspired a lot of my artwork. Bio
I studied at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth and received a Bachelors of Fine Art degree in Art Education. I taught in Massachusetts for a year, moved to Oahu, Hawaii with my husband for 3 years and started the Kessaboo Shop while working for the Hawaiian Humane Society as an Adoption Supervisor. I currently reside in Rhode Island and work as an Elementary Art Teacher K-5, going into my 3rd year of teaching. A lot of my artwork is inspired by my time in Hawaii, as well as the natural world, animals, exploring, traveling , music, personal experiences & the human experience. We brought a lot of wonderful memories back with us, including our rescue dog, Skiff. I am constantly reinventing myself, trying new things, and learning on the way. I’ve enjoyed sharing my artwork with the world, and look forward to many more years of creating.
